Question: How do you use your legal gifts and abilities outside of Michigan courts to better society?
Answer: Well, I serve on my township planning commission, and I’m able to help provide some legal counsel in that kind of way. And I’ve done some pro bono work for some federal civil rights cases in the past as well, and I’ve served in different capacities in different local things as well. And I don’t know necessarily that my legal gifts help in that regard, but I’m able to use my training from going to law school and becoming a lawyer. I think it helps in a lot of different areas in life, and so I do try to do, I like to do service when I get a chance to.
